The LE MANS from CAVOE is the i-Size child seat that allows your child to travel rear-facing for longer (up to 105 cm tall). The ECE R-129 i-Size standard only specifies a minimum of 75 cm.
This is the safest way to transport your child in the car. In the event of a frontal collision, your child's body is pressed into the LES MANS seat shell and held back safely. The force of the impact on the neck and head is cushioned - so that the risk of injury to your child is as low as possible.

The LES MANS i-Size is suitable for children from 40 to 150 cm tall.

The abbreviation “i-Size” refers to the latest approval standard for child car seats. Approval standards for child car seats regulate which safety standards and technical specifications child car seats must meet in order to be approved for the European market.

There are currently three child seat standards in force in the EU: ECE R 44/03, ECE R 44/04 and ECE R 129. The i-Size standard is part of the latest test standard ECE R 129, or officially: “EU Safety Regulation for Child Restraint Systems UN/ECE Regulation 129”. This regulation, which came into force in July 2013, sets stricter requirements for the approval of child seats than the previous standards.

What is new is that the child seat classes will now be height and no longer by body weight as before. In addition, babies in seats with i-Size approval must be placed in the car seat until they are 15 months old. These changes are intended to prevent children from moving to the next child seat class too early. The new standard increases the technical safety standard for child seats and writes a side impact protection mandatory. 

The LES MANS also has additional side impact protection that can be activated on the side of the seat facing the car door. This offers even more safety for your child.
The GRAND PRIX PRO can be quickly docked onto the holder pre-installed in the vehicle. A green indicator light tells you that the car seat is correctly installed.

The 360° rotation capability of the LES MANS offers you and your child additional comfort and makes everyday life much easier. In particular, putting the child in and taking him out is much easier. The rotation capability also makes feeding the child easier.

The LES MANS has an additional breathable insert for children from 40 to 60 cm.
The three-way adjustment option of the backrest significantly improves the child's comfort, especially on longer journeys.
